nce used by winegrowers as a place of storage and refuge, the vineyard lodges bear witness to a time when machines had not yet transformed the world of agriculture. Listed as a World Heritage Site, they were shelters in the midst of the vines, where people could eat and rest in bad weather or on hot days. A well was even dug in this Bollinger lodge to supply the winegrowers with water. Today, the vine lodges are an integral part of the landscape; with all its reflections, it is nature that shapes it and gives it form.
