n this valley crossed by pastures, "The Mirror House" is the reflection of times past, a tribute to the breeders and builders of the buron de Venzoux located a few meters away. Used by breeders or hikers to find refuge, these massive stone and slate buildings protected those who sheltered there. Ephemeral homes, they welcomed fragments of life like so many fragments of mirrors.

Although the pastoral tradition has now disappeared, the Venzoux buron nonetheless remains the fragile memory of a history that must be protected. In order to embody this endangered mountain heritage, “The mirror cabin” evokes an architectural heritage of the Sancy Massif which is one with the landscape which shapes it. Entirely covered with mirror mosaic, the building reflects the surrounding nature, as burons did at a time when humans lived in harmony with nature, a coexistence that is now threatened.
